About Me

Greg Gotham is a contemporary artist and has been painting since 2002. He went to Michigan State University and received his master’s at St. Edward’s University. He now lives in Austin, Texas and enjoys teaching at a local college.

Painting is a passion he more recently discovered, and he now enjoys exploring many techniques with his primary medium being acrylics. His works consist of a range of distinctive patterns and styles, many with satisfying balances of pops of color.

In the process of his work he loves to consider how his styles would look in interior spaces, whether it be homes or professional settings. The art world is always sparking his creativity and curiosity and he is constantly looking for new ways to discover and put paintbrush to canvas. His art encourages the idea that no room or every day occupied area is complete without pieces of original, unique work, just the kind of thing he loves to create. He is always open to discussing the commissioning of pieces that fit your lifestyle.

“Gotham’s work translates modern anxieties through the lens of abstract design. He pursues the boundaries of painting by using unconventional textures and highly detailed geometries. In an era when our old patterns hold deep flaws, Gotham lovingly suggests a deeper vision for individuals and the world.”
